We have the perfect clothing for your favorite pooch in their big dog clothes!

Hefty Hounds specializes in apparel for large dog breeds. We carry vests, raincoats, and safety jackets for large breed dogs over 30 pounds, so your pet will be warm and dry when they accompany you on your outdoor adventures. We also have a selection of big dog coats, t-shirts, and tank tops to keep your best friend comfy all year long. Your dog will be the best-dressed pup in the neighborhood!

We have made it part of our mission to support organizations doing work we care about. We love dogs as much as our customers do, so we donate a portion of our proceeds to dog shelters and rescue organizations. We also contribute part of our inventory to fundraising efforts for nonprofits in the southeastern PA area. Over the past two years, we have supported over 100 animal rescue programs.

Who We Are

Yolonda Taylor has a BA from Pennsylvania State University 83’ and has lived in PA her entire life. She started a part time business called Yo’s Dog Walking & Pet Services. Many of her clients owned larger breed dogs and when she tried to purchase items for them, they never fit. Hence, Hefty Hounds LLC. was created.

Pernell Taylor Sr. has a BS In finance from Temple University. He is currently a committee member with the Black Alumni Organization at Temple.

The Taylors have been married for over 29 years and have 2 adult children and welcomed a grandchild in April 2015. Together, they support many non-profit organizations. They send gear to rescues to sell/raffle at various events. They donate their time to feed the homeless with the Chosen 300 Ministries in Pottstown, PA.
